Mastering the Art of Legal Coaching

Jo-Anne`s legal career spans nearly thirty years as a member of the Saskatchewan and British Columbia Bar Association, representing litigants and institutions and acting as an arbitrator. During this time, she witnessed the slow erosion of access to justice and decided there had to be a better way to provide affordable legal services: armed with a business degree and a natural curiosity for innovation and technology, she was certified as a practicing coach and developed a new virtual law firm that provides legal advice. She also founded the Legal Coaches Association, a non-profit organization whose mission is to develop references and promote certified legal coaches in Canada. Access to justice is a fundamental principle of the rule of law, but it has become a luxury that few people can afford.
